Tainan, TAIWAN, March 25, 2009 --- Dr. Woei-Shyan Lee, the Secretary General of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and Dr. Jyh-Hong Chen, the Superintendent of NCKU Hospital were conferred with identification by NCKU President, Dr. Michael M.C. Lai, for their contribution on school administration. NCKU has won the first place of “2008 Service Quality Award” from Executive Yuan, and NCKU Hospital won the “2008 Personnel Innovative Award” and “2008 Outstanding Manager Award” from Executive Yuan as well.

Tainan, TAIWAN, March 24, 2009 --- A dialogue between Dr. Claude Cohen-Tannoudji, the 1997 Nobel Laureate in Physics and Dr. Yuan Tseh Lee, the 1986 Nobel Prize Laureate in Chemistry took place at Cheng Hsing Hall of College of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), attracting a crowd of audience from NCKU students, faculties and senior high school students. This stimulating dialogue was entitled “Quantum Physics and its Impact on Daily Life”, with an opening remark by NCKU President, Academician Michael Ming-Chiao Lai.
3Mar 19, 2009NCKU launches Biomedical and Nanotechnology Integration Project
National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) today announced the launch of its Integration of Biomedical and Nanotechnology Systems Project. NCKU’s Center for Biomaterials Research will conduct a molecule simulation to study the adverse effects of applying nanotechnology. The results of the research project may be used in future medicinal design and clinical treatment to help ensure the human health and to safeguard the environment.
