NCKUˇ÷Cijin Tianhou Temple

In 1673, a fisherman Hsu Ahua built the first temple in Kaohsiung dedicated to Matsu , Goddess of Sailors. Be sure to stop by this beautiful temple and admire its over three hundred and thirty years of history.

Cihou Lighthouse

The Cijin lighthouse was built in 1883 ensure the safety of the many ships entering the port. Not only will you have a bird's eye view of entering ships, but also the view of Shi-tzu Bay back on the Kaohsiung side of the harbor is also stunning.

Cihou Fort

The Chihou fort, built during the Ching Dynasty, follows a Western design without losing its unique Chinese flavor. Features of note include the great gate and many other traditionally meaningful carvings.

Cijin Beach Park

The Cijin Beach Park extends from beneath the Cihou cliffs in the north to the water treatment plant three kilometers to the south. The beach area includes a swimming area, a long scenic pathway, and an area for off-roading. It also includes four different natural ecology preserves showcasing different area ecosystems.
