Academic Programs and Admission Requirements

(A) The application deadline for 2008 academic year is April 9, 2008.
Applications postmarked later than the deadline will not be accepted.

(B) Ways of application:
Applications can be submitted either in person or via postal service. ?

(D) Materials Required for Application

(1) Submit the following documents in the order as listed below and clip them on the upper left ?corner. Please refer to the attached NCKU application document checklist (Appendix II).

a. Two copies of the completed application form

b. A photocopy of the applicantˇ¦s highest degree diploma and an official transcript, verified with official stamps by the R.O.C. embassies, consulates, or missions abroad or by other notary institutes authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, R.O.C. (The notarized copy of a translation in English or Chinese is necessary if the original diploma or transcript is not in Chinese or English)

c. Financial statement certified by the R.O.C. embassies, consulates, or missions abroad (showing sufficient financial support for the applicantˇ¦s entire stay of study)
(It should be verified by the Taiwan Overseas Missions in the country if the financial
support documents are not provided from organizations or banks in Taiwan.)

d. One copy of the passport

e. Declaration

f. Two recommendation letters

g. A study plan in either Chinese or English

h. Other documents related to the application

i. Other documents related to the requirement of the department/institute


Note 1:Applications and all supporting documents postmarked later than April 9, 2008 will not be accepted. If there is any missing document, your application will be considered incomplete and will not be considered for further evaluation. No submitted documents will be returned.

Note 2:If your degree diploma is not verified by any official institute listed above, your
application will be considered incomplete and will not be considered for further
evaluation.

 

(2) Application Notes

    + The applicant can apply for and/or be admitted to more than one department/institute, but should choose only one program for his/her study.

    + International students who have been expelled from other universities in Taiwan are not eligible to apply for admission to this University. Any violation of this regulation will result in the denial of admission.

    + International students who have completed undergraduate courses in Taiwan and desire to do postgraduate studies should follow the application procedures.

    + The University has the right to withdraw the admission from any applicant who is found to have made an illegal profit through the admission.

    + Once the application is submitted, the applicant cannot change the program.

    + Should the documents submitted for application be found to be forged, fraudulent or altered, etc., the studentˇ¦s admission or student status will be revoked. Should the violation be found after the applicantˇ¦s completion of his/her study, the University would deprive them of his/her former student status and revoke his/her degree certificate.

 

      • The application for international students is ruled by the ˇ§Regulations for Admitting International Students to NCKUˇ¨.
